WHAT'S THE DESIRE OF YOUR HEART?
In this final part of You've Got Heart, we're going to delve deep -- striaght to the desire of your heart.
Your heart wants nothing more than to push blood toward every cell in your body day after day after day. Your heart doesn't want to have an attack or dodge high levels of cholesterol from 25 years of cheeseburgers and french fries. Your heart's desire is to beat strong . . . until the end.
Although not all heart events are preventable, it is important to know where you stand with your heart. Evaluating your risk of cardiovascular disease is the first step. Be honest. Ask yourself:
- Do you smoke?
- What is your activity level?
- Are you overweight or obese?
- Do you have diabetes?
- How heart-friendly is your diet?
What about your numbers?
- What's your blood pressure?
- Your cholesterol level?
- Your body mass index?
- Your weight?
Remember, you've only got one heart! And you need it beating strong and healthy in order to pursue the desires of your heart.
