I have chosen my word for the year:
My desire is to have creativity flood every area of my life -- from my novel and journal writing to my marriage and kids.
As we (our church, The Lord's Table Church of God) begins a 40 day fast on Monday Jan. 7, there is excitement in the air and anticipation throughout every age group. It was evident over the weekend. However, personally, I have been struggling with what the purpose of my fast would be and I wanted my one little word to correspond with this purpose. While I was watching Jentezen Franklin on TV yesterday, he said that fasting would bring about breakthrough in problems, ideas and CREATIVITY, finances and health. I had been wrestling with that word already, considering that perhaps it would be too selfish a word, too selfish a purpose -- but I believe God confirmed that it is His desire to release the creativity He has already placed within me before the foundation of the world!!
I'm ready for this!!
